I'm working on a new old song for the 16/61 project that I wrote on my acoustic guitar some time in the mid-seventies. Here are a bunch of reference tracks I came up with to aim toward (not at). Here is a direct link, in case the playlist above won't play) It has a sort of ethereal sound. More folktronica or Indy folk, with the puristic trappings shed for good riddance.

In the early eighties it picked up some lyrics . It looks s called "watch 'em burn," about people who basically perform themselves to death and the act of watching them. Later in the eighties it picked up a bridge and a sort of counter-theme about stepping away from the fire. That took on a strange twist I'll maybebtalk about later, as I get my own head around it. In the 2000's I improvised a looper performance that came out as a sort of a faux pseudo putative ersatz would-be neo-classical ditty.
